Dear Parents and Students,
We are living through unprecedented and challenging times. We ended last year in difficult circumstances with the closure of schools and the start of distance learning. Looking forward, I hope that we will be able to reestablish school routines and normalcy for our children and families. What I do know is that the staff and I look forward to working with all our students once again for the 2020- 2021 school year.
I would like to welcome our new families to our school community and am looking forward to integrating the K4 program into our school. I know our students and staff are excited to meet all the new students coming to Beacon Hill.
At Beacon Hill we will continue to embrace the development of the child ’s mind, body and soul. Deep Learning, which encompasses all three, has been a focus in our classrooms for the past two years. We will continue to develop the six Cs (creativity, critical thinking, community, communication, collaboration and citizenship) within our daily schedule. Our ceramic nest that was created last year will hang at the front of the school representing the wonderful collaboration of students and staff. I look forward to working on new initiatives and continuing the long-standing traditions that are so much a part of Beacon Hill.
Beacon Hill parents are very involved within the school. I thank all our volunteers for their dedication in the past. I sincerely hope that we will be able to continue this valuable volunteer tradition in the near future.
Please don’t hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns. Together we will create a safe and caring school where mutual respect is paramount.
On behalf of the Beacon Hill team, I wish you a wonderful school year!
